Taking Care of Business

04.20.09

I have a new post up at LA Moms today. I explain why we’ve taught our kids to hit hard. Go on over there are take a look, I’ll wait for you.

The BlogHer Conference is right around the corner. If you have a product you’d like to get into the hands of the right women this would be the time to contact me (Jessica@JessicaGottlieb.com). My fees are low, and my social capital is high. There are a limited number of spots and prior to my writing this two have been filled. Everything I do will be in concert with their guidelines for sponsored bloggers, and your product will be featured in multiple platforms.

I loved your post on hitting. I’m a redhead and being the redhead in school was no fun. I got teased so much I had to start punching the boys to make them stop. Think Annie but without the curls. Now my 3 year old son has redhair too…with freckles…and he is adorable, but I know that whatever scorn I got…redheaded boys get worse. I’ve been teaching him the same thing. I tell him “you finish it!” If they hit you, you hit them so hard that they won’t want to hit you a second time. He’ll only have to do that a couple of times on the playground.

No matter what kind of kumbaya bullshit they teach our kids in school, bullies will always be around. I want the bullies to leave my son alone because they know he’ll be a scrapper!

    You go girl!
