Porsche, Ferrari, Perceived Value and Nine Year Old Boys

Yesterday when Alexander and I were driving back from getting his contact lenses (lens really, he only wears one), he noticed a Porsche Cayenne. “Mom why would Porsche make an SUV? It’s like it brings down the value of the whole brand.” I just nodded and waited for him to continue. “It’s like Porsche isn’t special anymore, you don’t see Ferrari making pick up trucks.” “Well honey,” I said, “when I was about your age Ferrari did make some SUVs too. October in Los Angeles

The folks at Ford just dropped this off for a week long drive. You can be pretty sure it’ll be top down for the duration. The pool is heated to 86 degrees so the kids can take a swim when they get home from school. I cannot imagine living anywhere but here.

The long story (pending) will include telling you about the crash test dummies, and the drive we took in a top secret …

My New Lexus HS250h is Really Really Clean, but it is Recalled

If you were watching me on Whrrl today, (you do spend your days watching me don’t you?) you would have seen that I got my Lexus out of service at 11am. The dealership replaced the screen (which totally baffles me), and when that didn’t work they replaced the computer system (which seems like it would be the first thing to do, right?). When the new screen and the new computer system didn’t fix the issue they …
