It’s way early ’80s. By the mid- to late-80s when I saw Henry Rollins at Long Beach State, he had cut off all his hair and was doing poetry type readings without Black Flag.
OMG – my husband used to do record promotion and once when we were dating (probably around 1990-91) we drove Henry Rollins from LA to San Diego to do an interview on 91X. That was truly the most intense 3 hours of my life. That dude is one crazy M-F-er. He talked for a long time about getting artistically scarred with a scalpel by a man-hating lesbian “scalpel artist”. Crazy!
