Apparently Betty White is the Boss of Us All
Yesterday was an admittedly lovely day and I really enjoyed spending some time with Betty White.
Today I was invited to a small luncheon hosted by Jenny Craig to celebrate Valerie Bertinelli’s Star on the Walk of Fame. I walked into the luncheon and it was a room full of people I sort of recognized but out of context I didn’t really know them, except one. Betty White. Well, I recognized two people. Betty’s driver. He was so sweet and asked me where the anthropologist was.
Tuesday is a Betty White Interview.
Wednesday I sit to chat with Betty White again while we’re waiting for Valerie Bertinelli to show up. Valerie has just gotten her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Betty and her driver let me know that Betty’s star was originally made of wood. In fact Betty is so gracious that she reminds me that they’re much harder to get now and that Valerie Bertinelli has worked very hard and is “quite a success”. Yes, that’s why the world loves her.
And Thursday Betty White will be on Facebook with a live stream from Tide’s page at noon pacific time. Be sure to logon and interact with her Betty loves being on the small screen and we all know she’s good at it. You can actually submit questions on the page now or you can tweet #AskBetty and maybe she’ll answer your question.
I’ll be there because I’m afraid to miss it. Betty practically admitted to me that she held P&G executives hostage until they relented and agreed to change Tide with Bleach to Tide Vivid White. Well, she didn’t vehemently deny it. Honest to goodness… I have the video queued up to prove it go to minute 7 in this video… would I lie to you?
Tomorrow I’ll share some video from the Valerie Bertinelli event.
This post is sponsored by P&G and I’m fairly certain that executives were held hostage by Betty White even though they deny it. (Stockholm Syndrome? I mean c’mon she’s a strong 90 year old.)
