Jane is Home Sick Today
And I’m clearly the worst mother in the world, because I’m totally annoyed that I won’t be able to go out for yoga and lunch. I’ll just be able to go to yoga while a friend watches her.
It’s awful and it’s selfish, and I should be more concerned with my daughter’s stomachache than I am with my own longing to be out in the world.
Maybe in a few minutes that’s how I’ll feel, but right now I just want to get out of the house.
And I can’t even snuggle and kiss her, because if I get sick this will be a sinking ship.
